Product Introduction

Boiler Manifold Header is a kind of tube for mixing working substance of boiler and ensuring uniform heating of working substance.Industrial boiler furnace wall is usually composed of rows and rows of tubes (water wall) together, but boiler huge volume, complicated structure, cannot guarantee that all the working medium in the pipe of heat absorption capacity is the same, different parts of heat absorption differs a lot, install header can let each pipe working medium inside converge here, the redistribution to the next level in the tube, so that we can reduce the thermal deviation, make the working medium heat, cooling flow, boiler, the boiler thermal efficiency are optimized to improve;In addition, the size, quantity and layout of the pipes in the upper, middle and lower parts of the boiler are different.

Installation and Welding of Pipe Joints

Generally, there are two kinds of pipe joints on the header barrel body. One is the large-diameter pipe joints with a diameter of more than 101.6mm, such as the hand-hole pipe joints and seats opened near the header end cover and ring joints.The other is a small diameter pipe joint with a diameter of less than 101.6mm, which is used for combination welding of the header and the tube screen of economizer, superheater and reheater.A large number of closely spaced small diameter pipe joints are welded on the whole length of the header barrel, some are short pipe joints with a length of less than 300mm, and some are long pipe joints with a length of 300 ~ 1700mm bent into a certain shape.

• The pressures and temperatures that headers have to withstand depend on the component to which they are connected. A header connected to an economizer or to water wall panels is subject to less severe requirements on the material than a header connected to superheaters or reheaters.
• Depending on the temperature and pressure of headers, Vallourec supplies tubes in carbon steel to high-alloy ferritic steels such as T/P91 or T/P92, with sizes ranging from 88.9 mm to 406.4 mm.

Attention

If there exists straw hat , iron and other sundry in manifold headers, when power plant is running, it is easy to cause boiler stop accidents such as booster.So the header cleanliness must be strictly controlled.
