We fabricate inexpensive one way industrial cargo webbing strap (also known as 1-way strap) for bundling, large-carton packaging, and other throw-away single use applications using polyester seatbelt webbing material. You can use it to efficiently move and bundle materials during the production cycle. Yet this cargo strap solution is cheap enough to send along with each shipment making it easier for your customers at the other end! This lifting strap or sling is used to safely move your valuable units in the factory and to lower it into a protective shipping form for safe delivery. The strap then travels with the product for easy removal by the customer.

Our endless lifting slings are popular in the steel tube and timber industries. Being endless, each lift bears on a different part of the webbing. Re-useable lifting slings are manufactured to the same EU standards as Duplex and Simplex lifting slings and are colour coded likewise.

Duplex (double thickness) endless lifting slings are also available.

One-way lifting slings for pre-slinging are available but with a 5:1 safety factor for use outside of the E.U only.

Other materials such as Nylon or Polypropylene are available for special applications.

Basic lifting slings are either Duplex (double thickness) or Simplex (single thickness) or in endless form either Simplex or Duplex.

Manufactured to the latest European standards (BS EN 1492-1) all slings within that range are colour coded for easy S.W.L. identification.

We recommend the use of wear sleeves to prolong the life of these lifting slings. Specialised Cargo Nets are also available constructed from webbing using the same 7:1 safety factor.

In-service Inspection, Maintenance and Replacement

Inspect slings each day before use, looking for:

• Missing or unreadable ID tag
• Melted, charred or weld-splattered areas
• Acid or alkali burns
• Holes, tears, cuts, snags or embedded particles
• Broken or worn stitching
• Excessive abrasive wear or elongation
• Knots or brittle areas
• Broken, corroded, pitted distorted fittings

Do not use worn or damaged slings or attachments. Discard or repair them. Use damaged slings only after they are repaired, reconditioned, and proof tested by the sling manufacturer or a qualified person. Keep certificates of proof test.

Maintenance requirements are minimal. Belt slings may be cleaned with clear water. Remember weak chemical
solutions will become increasingly stronger by evaporation. Regularly inspect belt slings and, in the event of the
following defects, refer the sling to a Competent Person for thorough examination: illegible markings; damaged,
chaffed or cut webbing; damaged or loose stitching; heat damage; burns; chemical damage; solar degradation;
damaged or deformed end fittings.
