Stainless Steel Galvanized Hexagonal Wire Mesh Gabion Boxes , 0.5mm
Thick PVC Coated
Steel wire used in the manufacture is hot-dip galvanizing or
galfan(zinc 95%, aluminum 5%). If it is required, 0.5 mm thick PVC is then coated on the galvanized/galfan wire to provide added
protection for use in aggressive environments with acidic soils and
water, in salt or fresh water or wherever the risk of corrosion is
present. In order to reinforce the structure, the edge wire has a
greater diameter than the mesh wire.The gabion box is divided into
units by means of diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m
centres.

diameter thickness depends on the mesh size, the diamter is between
2.0mm to 4.0mm if the material is zinc coated, while the diamter
will be 3.0mm to 4.5mm if the material is PVC-coated wire, the
selvage wire diamter usually is one gauge thicker than the body
wire diamter.
